When the content in this guide apply only to specific editions of QPR Modeling Client, the following icons are used to indicate the editions:

EA_iconPD_iconQPR Modeling Client is a Windows-based software allowing both standalone and 3-tier client/server usage. Accordingly, the basic requirements for the use of QPR Modeling Client are a Windows environment and a TCP/IP network (not needed with Standalone usage). See QPR Administrator's Guide for more detailed system requirements.

 

PX_iconQPR EAXpress is a Windows-based easy-to-use software for creating and editing process models.

 

This guide is meant to be used as a hands-on introduction to the essential features of QPR Modeling Client, more information about QPR Modeling Client features can be found in the QPR Modeling Client - User's Guide which can be accessed as a context sensitive help by pressing the F1 key. Note that most of the screenshots in this guide are from the QPR EnterpriseArchitect and QPR ProcessDesigner versions, so some features not available in QPR EAXpress may be visible in them.

 

EA_iconPD_iconFor completing the exercises, a QPR Suite installation of QPR 2017.1 is needed preferably in the standalone mode. Refer to the QPR - Installation Instructions document for more details about installing the software.

 

The file models used in the exercises can be found in the

EA_iconPD_iconC:\ProgramData\QPR Software\QPR 2017\2017.1\Clients\pgmodels\Tutorials folder.

Accessing Help

The QPR Modeling Client help can be accessed through the Help buttons in the various dialogs, through the Help tab of the ribbon, and by pressing the F1 key.
