The QPR Metrics e-mail notification system does not require any additional component to the QPR Metrics Server or QPR Metrics standalone computer. The QPR Metrics uses Simple Mail Transfer Protocol (SMTP) for sending e-mail notifications. This means that the only requirement is that the QPR Metrics Server has access to the SMTP-server. Usually SMTP-server is available on your e-mail system provider's servers. Contact your system administrator or e-mail service provider to find out the server location.

 

An additional requirement for the e-mail notification system is to have an e-mail address available for the QPR Metrics. This address is used as the sender information of the e-mail notification.
