Resource pool mode shows the pools of resources. One resource can belong to several resource pools. A resource pool is a collection of alternative resources. If no resource groups have been created, a simple list of resources is shown.

Creating New Resource Pools

You can create new resources by selecting the "New Resource..." command from the pop-up menu accessible by clicking the right mouse button.

Modifying

By selecting a resource or resource pool and using the pop-up menu (click the right mouse button) you can set properties of the selected resource. Resource pools can be modified by adding new resources by pasting or creating new ones, or arranging the connections by drag-and-dropping resources over the resource pool. Resources under resource pools (i.e. not located on the root level) can be either assigned under an additional parent resource pool (by holding the SHIFT key down while dragging) or moved between resource pools (normal dragging mode). For resources located in the root level, note that all resources are displayed in the root level even if they belong also to some resource pools, and therefore adding a resource to a resource pool by dragging the resource from the root level to a resource pool leaves a copy also to the root level. You can also remove resources by pressing the Delete key when the desired resources are selected. Depending on the type of the element and the column in the view, the value in a cell can be edited by typing in the value, selecting a checkbox, or selecting the value from a drop-down menu. Note that all values, such as "Last Changed", are not editable. See also the Transfer Model Elements via Clipboard topic for information about copy and paste operations.
