Running a Simulation

To run a simulation, select Run from the Simulation group on the Model tab or the on Simulation tab (if visible) of the ribbon.

 

The Simulation Options dialog is shown for setting the options for the simulation run. The simulation run starts by clicking the OK button. A dialog for controlling the simulation run is shown while the simulation is active. This dialog shows the simulation time, simulation speed and animation update frequency. 24-hour days are used in simulation. Scrollbars can be used to tune simulation speed and update frequency during the simulation. The simulation can also be paused, continued or stopped.

 

The simulation is executed by the simulation queue. The simulation queue has two lists of activations, active and suspended and a list of events.

 

A dialog box for controlling the simulation run is shown while the simulation is active.
