Simulation can be used to analyze and communicate the behavior of the process. It is usable for the following purposes:

To validate a new process before implementing it.

To analyze how an existing process behaves, if e.g. the amount of inputs changes.

To optimize resource usage in an existing process, thus saving money.

To illustrate the dynamics of the process with animation.

To detect possible weak links or errors in the process chain before actually implementing it, thus saving time and money.

In the simulation the process is run according to rules set to the process steps, flows, stores and resources.

To get an overview of the simulation, take the following quick tour:

1.Open the simulation example model (Simulation - Business Process.qprdam) from the pgmodels folder under the C:\ProgramData\QPR Software\QPR 2017\2017.1\Clients folder.
2.On the Model tab of the ribbon, select Run from the Simulation group. The Simulation Options dialog is opened.
3.Click OK to start simulation. Simulation run starts and a corresponding window is shown.
4.Increase simulation speed with the scroll bar. Animation is shown in the diagram.
5.When simulation ends, open result graphs by selecting Graphs from the Simulation group in the Model tab of the ribbon.
