The Create Element window can be opened from the Scorecard Navigator or Analysis view by clicking the 'Create element' link. This window is used to define the Name, Symbol, and a possible Template element for an element to be created. The 'Create element' link can be enabled by adding the corresponding field in the View Designer.

 

Type in the name of the element to the Name field. This field cannot be empty.

 

Define a unique symbol for the element in the Symbol field. If the Symbol field is empty or a duplicate symbol is given, a random symbol is assigned for the element.

 

If a template element is chosen, the element created is a copy of the template element. Only those elements can be used as template elements that have the 'Can be used as template element' option selected in QPR Metrics client.
