This Guide is intended to advanced QPR users and IT developers who wish to take the full advantage of QPR products. The QPR Developer's Guide describes all advanced features that can used to customize and integrate QPR Products for organization's needs.

 

The second section (this introduction being the first) of this document describes and provides useful examples of QPR API. The third section provides information and examples about QPR Scripting. The fourth section covers configuring and using the QPR Web Services Foundation. The fifth section describes the QPR Metrics Integration Kit. The sixth section describes QPR Modeling Client XML interface. The seventh section provides information about QPR Metrics's e-mail notification system. The eighth section provides information about QPR Portal customization and the ninth and the tenth section focus on static web publishing and its customization possibilities. The eleventh section provides information about customizing terminology in QPR applications. The last section describes the QPR Database structure and reporting views.

 

Please note that most of the code examples provided here are not fully functional scripts as such but they demonstrate the core functionality presented in the corresponding section. For fully functional examples, please see the example scripts included in the installation package and described in Appendix A. Creating more complex scripts with the help of the function descriptions provided in this guide require basic programming skills.

 

 

A Note About Terminology Used in This Guide

For backward compatibility reasons, this guide still uses old terminology where applicable, for example:

QPR ScoreCard, Scorecard, SC, etc. refer to QPR Metrics and its associated data.

QPR ProcessGuide, ProcessGuide, PG, etc. refer to QPR Modeling Client (QPR EnterpriseArchitect and QPR ProcessDesigner) and QPR BizArchitecture Server and their associated data.
