System Validation Checklist

Use the checklists below (pick the one that is applicable) to verify that your QPR system is properly installed and configured on a basic level. Note that the checklists below are for reference purposes and they do not take into account any environment-specific settings.

 

Use this list if you selected the standalone option.

Start QPR Metrics Client

The application is started successfully.

Also QPR Metrics Server is started

Open a model in QPR Metrics

Model is opened without errors.

Start QPR Web Application Server

QPR Web Application Server is started successfully.

Launch QPR Portal

Login is successful.

Browse QPR Modeling and QPR Metrics Models in Portal

All models are displayed successfully.

You may need to install an SVG plugin or Microsoft Silverlight first in order to view some QPR Metrics views.

Access http://localhost/QPR2017-1/Portal/qpr.isapi.dll/wsforward/servicetester.aspx and click QueryObjectsAsXml

The tester is launched successfully and clicking on QueryObjectsAsXml returns a result set with multiple objects

* Applicable only if you installed QPR Web Services Foundation.

Launch Microsoft Word 2010, 2013, or 2016.

The QPR tab appears in Word.

* Applicable only if you installed QPR Add-In for Microsoft Office.

 

Use this list if you selected to install service or omitted both standalone and service options.

If you installed QPR Service, start the service. Otherwise start all QPR servers (QPR Foundation Server, QPR Metrics Server, QPR BizArchitecture Server, and QPR Web Application Server)

The service is started successfully or all server components are started successfully.

Open a server model in QPR EnterpriseArchitect/QPR ProcessDesigner

Model is opened without errors.

Start QPR Metrics Client
