In the case errors occur with the QPR Add-In for Microsoft Office, enable display of add-in errors in Word to help with identifying the source of the error.
1.Open Word Options from the application button menu
2.Select Advanced
3.Tick "Show add-in user interface errors" in the General section
In addition, when reporting issues to QPR Customer Care, include also the build number of the QPR Add-In for Microsoft Office into the report. You can see this number at the bottom left corner of the QPR Web Service Connection Settings window that's opened from the Server Connection button.
If Word spawns "The function you are attempting to run contains macros or content that requires macro language support" error messages after installing QPR Add-In for Microsoft Office, you need to add Visual Basic for Applications feature to the Office installation. The feature is located in the Office Shared Features section in the installation options.
If you are having issues with report generation, verify that Microsoft Word is not set to remove personal information from file properties on save. If personal information is removed, also comment authors are changed and that causes QPR Add-In for Microsoft Office not to recognize the comments that should be processed. The relevant setting can be disabled with the following instructions:
1.Open Word Options from the application button menu
2.Select Trust Center
3.Open Trust Center Settings
4.Select Privacy Options
5.Unselect "Remove personal information from file properties on save" if the option is enabled
If you have the 32-bit QPR Add-In for Microsoft Office installed and you can't connect QPR Add-In for Microsoft Office using Intergrated Windows Authentication, install QPR ProcessDesiger or EnterpriseArchitect from the QPR Clients installation package. You don't need to activate the QPR ProcessDesigner or EnterpriseArchitect.
