This chapter handles model management from the administrative perspective.

Models may reside on the hard drive as binary files or on a QPR database.

The model file contains an identification field, all model data, graphical data of views and information about open views. Reports are not stored in the file (although the state of the open analysis and report views are stored).

Models stored to Server contain identical data with the exception that user rights (handled by QPR User Management System) can be used with Server models.

File models can be protected only by passwords.
