Things to Note Before Starting

Scroll Prev Top Next More

QPR Metrics is based on client-server technology, which means that all server components must be up and running before client components can make connections to them. In addition, if server and client components are located on separate computers, communication protocols, settings and lines must be in order so that clients can reach servers.

Components have also sequential dependency on each other. This means that they must be executed in a specific order - servers on their own successive order and then clients. Therefore the most likely reasons for QPR Metrics not to work are as follows:

Server program will not start because some other server has to be started first (database or some QPR server).

Client program will not start because the required server is not started or server is not available due to communication problems.

Server/client program will not start because it is misconfigured.
