The Type Group dialog is used to define the properties of a type group. Type Groups are available with a separate license.
General
The General page shows the name, symbol, and description of the type group.
Element Types
On the Element Types page, you can select which element types are included in the group.
Custom Attribute Types
On the Custom Attribute Types page, you can select which custom attributes are included in the group.
Stencils
On the Stencils page, you can select which stencils are included in the group. The selected stencils will be selectable on the tool palette when the tool palette is filtered by the Type Group.
You can also enable the Type group specific favorites to be shown on the Tool Palette. When type group specific favorites are enabled, you can select the favorites using the check boxes in the selected stencils list. The favorites are added in the order they are checked in the dialog. The favorites can then be arranged in the diagram view tool palette using drag and drop. When working with a child model, child model element types/stencils can be added to the favorites. Child model stencils are always shown after the base model stencils. Base model stencils cannot be added to or removed from favorites.
View Settings
On the View Settings page, you can select which view settings are included in the group. When the Tool Palette is filtered by a type group, only those view settings that are included in the type group are selectable.
