It is possible to define the method for identifying model elements in import cases. There are three methods available:
•By object id
•By object name and type
•By symbol
The methods are defined in the import settings file in the [Parameters] section. Valid values are:
•IdentifyBy=id
•IdentifyBy=name
•IdentifyBy=symbol
If the IdentifyBy parameter is missing, the default method (IdentifyBy=id) is used. The IdentifyBy=name method resolves also relation custom attributes in addition to elements.
