Shapes are freely definable shapes that can be added to the Scorecard View and the Strategy Map View. Shapes are view settings specific, i.e. in order to use the same shapes in multiple view settings, the shape must be added separately to all desired view settings. Shape types, on the other hand, are global in the scope of a model and they can be defined in the Modeling Options window.
