Base scorecards are scorecards whose selected attributes can be utilized in attached (i.e. derived) scorecards. Base scorecards make maintenance of larger models easier since changes affecting many or all scorecards can be applied easily through inheritance. Scorecards can also be chained with the base scorecard functionality.
